Playground Design & Installation

Creating a playground that kids absolutely love isn’t about throwing up a generic swing set and calling it done. It’s about understanding your space, your kids, and designing something that’ll have them banging on the gate before school, keen for another go.

We’ve been designing and installing playgrounds across New Zealand for over 24 years – everything from compact urban backyards in Grey Lynn to sprawling lifestyle blocks in Canterbury, plus schools, childcare centres, and community projects. If kids can climb on it, swing off it, or race down it, we’ve built it.

Custom Design That Works

Every playground we design starts with a comprehensive site assessment. Our company check out your space and work out exactly what’s possible. We’re talking drainage, sun exposure, existing trees (nobody wants to chop down a beautiful pōhutukawa), ground conditions, and safety clearances. Whether you’ve got a sloped section, clay soil, or rocky ground, we’ve handled it before.

The design phase is where it gets exciting. Maybe your kids are mad about climbing, so we design a multi-level adventure playground with rope bridges and climbing walls. Perhaps they’re into imaginative play, so we create a themed playscape – pirate ships, castles, or something uniquely Kiwi. We work with your vision, budget, and site constraints to create something truly special, complete with 3D renderings so you can see the final result before we start digging.

Professional Installation

Installation isn’t just about bolting equipment together. It starts with proper ground preparation – excavation, levelling, and creating solid foundations. Because if the ground prep’s not right, everything suffers. Equipment ends up uneven, surfacing shifts, and safety takes a hit.

We install all types of equipment: climbing frames, swings, slides, monkey bars, flying foxes, and specialty structures like wheelchair-accessible play equipment. Our team is fully qualified and insured, and we follow strict safety protocols ensuring every installation meets or exceeds NZS 5828:2015 standards.

We also handle the crucial safety surfacing – rubber softfall, wet-pour surfaces, engineered wood fibre, or synthetic grass systems. Quality surfacing means tumbles off the monkey bars don’t end in trips to A&E.
